Connection Problems

Troubleshooting devices that frequently go offline or fail to check in.

Network Requirements

PeakDesk requires an outbound internet connection to communicate with our servers.

Firewall Rules

Please ensure the following domains are accessible on port 443 (HTTPS):

  • api.peakdesk.com
  • wss.peakdesk.com (WebSocket)
  • downloads.peakdesk.com

Proxy Servers

If your network uses a proxy server, the agent may need additional configuration.

The agent automatically detects system proxy settings on Windows. On Linux/macOS, ensure the HTTPS_PROXY environment variable is set correctly for the service user.

Intermittent Connectivity

If a device keeps flapping between Online and Offline:

  • Check for unstable Wi-Fi connections.
  • Verify that the device is not going into deep sleep or hibernation mode that disables the network adapter.
  • Inspect the agent logs (located in installation directory) for timeout errors.
